Christmas is definitely board game time in our house. Yes, we play on our electronic devices and watch TV and films too. Maybe even read a book! But the boys take after me and love board games. I remember Christmas’s spent with cousins, aunties and uncles where we play board games long into the night - or it felt that way anyway. Bringing the whole family together. I won’t expand on how many ways to cheat I was taught by older members of my family. But what I do remember I that we had fun.
We have been very fortunate over the past couple of years to have received quite a few board games to review. Luckily the boys, like me, love playing board games – and sometimes we manage not to be too competitive either - well sometimes. So I have created a list of some of the best board games we have played for you to take a look at whether you’re playing with the family or a group of friends.

Rubiks Flip
Rubik’s Flip is a tile-based strategy game. Rubik's Flip is a very quick, board based puzzle for two players. The aim of the game is to be the first player to get a line of three pieces of the colour that cannot be flipped by your opponent. Sounds easy however before you can play your piece you must flip an opponent’s piece into an adjacent space, then take your turn, so the board is constantly changing and you have to really keep concentrating to keep one step ahead in your strategy.
