3D Jigsaw Puzzles
My youngest is a big fan of jigsaws. He loved reviewing the 3D Despicable Me pencil holder and storage box so much last year that Santa brought him the boot to complete the set. Earlier this year we were asked if we’d like to review Big Ben, another 3D Jigsaw puzzle from Ravensburger. I didn’t even have to ask him I knew he’d say yes.
Now finished, it now has pride of place in his bedroom with his other 3D jigsaws.
Watch the building in progress ...
The puzzle uses the latest 3D click technology to create a stunning 3D model of London's Big Ben. And uses unique hinged plastic pieces, which slot together to build a sturdy and strong building and no glue is required at all. Once finished it is 41 cm high and it is also actually a clock.
The puzzle uses the latest 3D click technology to create a stunning 3D model of London's Big Ben. And uses unique hinged plastic pieces, which slot together to build a sturdy and strong building and no glue is required at all.
The puzzle has 216 high-quality plastic pieces and 3 additional pieces which are the spire, clock casing and base so it can be displayed on a shelf or tabletop. It all comes neatly packed in one box.
Each jigsaw piece is printed with a number on the reverse side, so you can either assemble the puzzle by eye, or by following the numbers on the back. We found it much easier to follow the numbers and to help we separated the numbers out into 4 tubs before we started.
My 8 and 10 year olds managed most of it on their own but they needed a little assistance with the clock casing and the spire – this part is quite fiddly, but you get such a sense of achievement when it’s completed! Well, I did.
The finished puzzle has 216 pieces and measures 41cm high when complete. It is suitable for ages 10 years and up.

- Each of the four clock faces has a diameter of 7m (approx. 23 ft)
