Pantomime
We took the boys to their very first panto a few years ago and they just laughed their heads off all the way through. Totally got it and totally loved it.
The pantomime genre is a strange one though, to say the least, and it must be especially strange for anyone not from the UK, who accidentally come across a show. However, with their sing-a-longs, slapstick and sweets, they are just as much a part of Christmas for many families as the turkey, mistletoe and presents.
Sleeping Beauty
The Newcastle Panto Company has been part of North East Christmas tradition since 1995. Founded by late North East legend, Brendan Healy, they pride themselves on being the original and best Geordie family pantomime.
Sleeping Beauty, from the Newcastle Panto Company, with its unique brand of Geordie pantomime, will be performed at a new venue this year in a custom-built indoor theatre at Gateshead International Stadium which seats 800 people. The venue also has hundreds of onsite parking places and excellent public transport links.
It will run from Friday 8 – Saturday 30 December 2017 and your family could win a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) for the show at 4 pm on Sunday 10 December of this classic fairy tale which involves a beautiful princess, a sleeping enchantment, and a handsome prince.
- Adults £22
- Concessions £20
- Youth groups £12 (1 free ticket with every 10 purchased)
- Schools £10 per ticket
How much do you love Panto?
