This month in My Boys Tech Club my seven-year-old wants to tell you why he loves playing the ANGRY BIRDS GO game, on his Amazon Fire Tablet, with his top 5 facts.
Angry Birds Go! is a kart racing game set on Piggy Island. All of the familiar Angry Birds characters, including the pigs, race against each other to get the fastest times, collect gems, coins and fruit, and also have to avoid stuff like bricks to win a race.
2. So who races?
The characters are different racers in the game. So far Ben has Red, Bomber, Stella, Bubbles and Matilda. Still for him to win are three Pigs (Corporal, King & Foreman), The Blues, Terence, Hal and Chuck. (So plenty of gameplay left).
Each character has their own unique special power, that can greatly help players on certain race types, by giving them an advantage. For example, Bubbles gets bigger and rolls along as a big ball and Stella goes inside a big bubble which is left behind as a bomb which stops the other racers; and Bomber, not surprisingly, has bombs which can impact on other racers that are very close by; and Red has the boost up which makes him go faster.

3. Where do they race?
There are five tracks: Seedway, Air, Sub Zero, Rocky Road and Stunt. However, these needs to be unlocked as you progress through the game. On each track there are seven different karts, again these need to be unlocked. To do this you need to collect maps by winning races.
4. Why do they race?
There different characters race against other characters and you can collect coins, arrows on the ground give you a speed boost and you use your power up to go past other racers. To start the race, you must pull the kart back from a large slingshot, then release when the "GO!" text appears after 3 2 1.
If you win a race you get prizes such as gems, tickets, energy and coins. These are used to unlock toolboxes, tracks and upgrade karts to make them able to win races.
Gems are an in-game currency that is either purchased with real money (although we have this option diabled on outtablets) or slowly gained by competing races. This may be used to buy additional karts.
5. What's the best bits?
My favourite racer is Chuck because he is the fastest, but I haven't got him yet. My favourite kart so far is Tar Barreller on the Sub Zero (frozen) level as its the fastest on the ice that I have so far.
My favourite track is Sub Zero because it's really slippery and hard for the other racers but it's easy to flip over too. I also like coming first!

Cost: Game free to download (In-app purchases but function can be disabled)
Time: Endless hours of fun and not bothered by adverts
What games would you like My Boys to review?

Oh I'm not sure if my three have this game - they have original Angry Birds and love it. I'm off to ask them now x
ReplyDeleteIt is a good one. Keeps the boys happy until they ask for help and I fail at getting them through a level! x
